BENNY the Dog needs a home
Benny is a gentle giant, who tries his best to always to avoid conflict. It takes him some time to enjoy new situations, but once he sees another dog enjoying themselves he can relax. Usually after he sees that another dog trusts you he will sit on your feet and lean up against you while you scratch his neck. Benny had a small world before he arrived at CCHS and had never been on a leash before. His stay at the shelter has been filled with so many new situations that initially make him uncomfortable, yet with a little bit of patience and effort he continues to conquer his fears. He surprises us with his progress every day. He has already built a great deal of confidence since he first arrived, and we are sure he will continue to learn and improve when he finds a home. Since other dogs have been so integral to his behavioral health, we require that he go to a home with a confident dog who is friendly and outgoing. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a once fearful animal blossom and flourish. Please set up an appointment with our staff to meet him and let him steal your heart!
